Tim Lincecum the 2008 NL Cy Young winner is also struggling in the early going in 2009. Lincecum has posted a 0-1 record and a 7.56 ERA after his first two starts. He has pitched 8 1/3 innings and has given up 7 runs, 14 hits, 6 walks and hit a batter. He has posted ten strikeouts this season. It is still early in the season but a pitcher that isn’t winning can lose their confidence and until he gets his confidence back he may continue to struggle.
